The Craft Goddess still running interference.

I had so many things to do, see list from previous days. I promised not to beat myself up for not completing things but I do have a nasty habit of preferring to do fun things over the "need to do things".

I planned a leisurely lunch with my talented friend Claire - lunch at her place is a 5 star dining experience. Then, an afternoon in Squamish knitting under The Chief with Judy and Toni, who are my preferred knitting road warrier people.

Unexpected tradespeople changed all of that. And why of all days----because the Craft Goddess is not about to let me get my way...A faint and subtle reminder about staying home to finish what I started. And just as I was starting to get a bit grumpy about this, Toni calls and offers to keep me company knitting for the afternoon. Okay, so the Craft Goddess is not without her small mercies.

Lately, more than ever, I am aware of bending to the universe --and when I bend, more gets done. A 2nd silk, mohair and lace weight merino scarf more pink this time, the last one was coral and a bit more narrow.

This one is in the silk and kid mohair as well, but I have blended a tan with an olive green and the colour has a wonderful depth to it. Rather than a purl stitch, I have dropped the stitch on each side of the cable for a more lacy effect. Here is the blocking.

Here is the finished scarf.

Starting to get the hang of blocking (even though I still don't like it)....Today I am working on the shawl. It is all overlay embroidery and crochet so I am looking forward to having that design come to life. There will only be one, this piece needs to be special.

Finished project to be displayed at a blog near you.

P.S. Tiny skein of wool was spun.
